Video Frame Extractor  

This simple tool extracts frames from all MP4 videos in the same folder as this program.  

How to use:

1. Place this program in the folder containing your MP4 videos.
2. Double-click on VideoFrameExtractor.exe to run it.
3. When prompted, enter the number of frames you want to extract from each video.
4. Wait for the program to finish processing all videos.
5. Find your extracted frames in the 'extracted_frames' folder.  

The frames are extracted at evenly distributed points throughout each video.

For example, if you choose 3 frames, they will be taken at the 25%, 50%, and 75% marks of each video.

The frames are extracted at evenly distributed points throughout each video that is located in the same folder as this program.  

For example:

• If you choose 1 frame, it will be taken at the 50% mark of each video.
• If you pick 2 frames, they will be taken at 33% and 66% marks.
• If you choose 3 frames, they will be taken at the 25%, 50%, and 75% marks of each video.
• And so on.

Results will be saved in a newly create subfolder called 'extracted_frames'. 

NOTE: You need to bring this program where your video files sit or bring the video files to where this exe sits before running it. Subfolders or any other folders are not affected or considered. You basically copy paste and run this program whenever you need it's service.  

CAUTION: Don't put too high values if you have 1000+ videos in the folder or you'll be flooded with way too many png files.

The purpose of the app is for you to easily, quickly and automatically get interesting screenshots from all your videos or game footage, all at once, in bulk. Usually the most interesting actions happens somewhere in the middle of the video, so this program pulls frames from those moments.  

Useful if you want to promote a game or any another real-time program by generating a lot of sharable screenshots from naturally captured video footage without taking screenshots manually. The only tradeoff is that the results are spontaneous, random and some video compression artifacts may appear in the images.
