Convert your images to text as Unicode/ASCII art! 

Drag and drop any JPG, PNG, or GIF file into the app to instantly convert it into a neat text version that you can copy-paste almost anywhere. 

The app ensures your image's original aspect ratio is preserved, regardless what its original size is.

You can feed it pixel art or HD images, but generally the app works best with simple high contrast images with clear silhouttes. Cartoon art is great, Photos are so-so.

Control the output with the width/height slider, allowing you to set the dimensions for the result in characters between 1 and 100. Smaller number means more compact but less detailed. Note that max size without tall fix is a whopping 26033 characters long!

Use the "Tall Fix" checkbox to correct vertical proportions, compensating for the natural height difference of ASCII characters. (you'll see the difference if you click it)

When you're happy with your creation, easily copy it to your clipboard with a single click.

The results don't show up perfectly everywhere, sadly:

Good / Works:  

• Notepad++ (protip: Encoding -> UTF-8, otherwise it'll look different)
• Forums Boards
• Steam Reviews

Bad / Broken:

• Discord
• Microsoft Word / Office
• Email / Gmail

Your experience may vary. Try it if you're unsure.

Offline Version:

If you're somewhere without an internet connection, you can prepare by downloading the offline version prior. It works effectively the same as the web version; you open in a web browser via index.html file. Same functionality, but offline.
