Nuclear Barrels is a universal addon for Doom 2 that replaces the standard explosive barrels with three different nuclear variants, adding thermonuclear excitement to your gameplay.

What's It For?

This mod is designed to enhance the excitement and satisfaction of detonating barrels in Doom 2. Whether you're playing the vanilla game or using other mods, Nuclear Barrels will make your playthroughs more explosive and fun.

How to Use It In-Game

• Regular Green MiniNukeBarrel: These barrels provide a small but potent bang, perfect for adding a bit more oomph to your explosions.
• Rare Purple MegaNukeBarrel: These barrels will wipe out anything within a direct line of sight to its blast, making them a powerful tool in your arsenal.
• Super Rare Yellow GigaNukeBarrel: Your only defense against these barrels is to run as far away as possible. Their apocalyptic power is unmatched, and their pulsing glow can save your life if you spot them in time.

Gameplay Impact

While the nuclear barrels have a notably larger blast radius and deal more damage, they won't blow up the whole level.

The goal is to make detonating the vanilla barrels more satisfying with cool explosion effects and bigger oomph. The rare Mega and Giga barrels are an occasional one-in-hundred style chance, presenting a fun opportunity that can spice up old maps if you get lucky to have one spawn in.
