Hello and welcome!

This pack contains 49 unique seamlessly tiling backgrounds for 2D games, created within Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 and Leonardo.ai.

Includes various panoramic vistas for all kinds of common locations in a soft cartoony painterly style using a constrained palette.

Forest, hill, field, mountain, desert, tundra, snow, tech ruins, cityscape, sea, cave, space nebula... some in day time, night time, dusk time or evening time.

Format: PNG

Image Size: 1024x576px

(lightweight size for faster download and lighter memory requirements.)

Use them as backgrounds for 2D platformers, visual novels and any other side view 2D projects.

DistantLands Gold Edition Extended Pack:

If you paid for the Gold Edition, you will also get "DistantLands Full Color Backdrops" which are non-repeating full color versions, with some bonus content included, totaling 67 extra images.

Same size, PNG format and mostly the same applications but they cannot scroll or wrap around themselves like the free base pack can. They get the benefit of richer detail, more cohesion and no artifacts - i.e. they look better.
